DAY WISE ITINERARY

Day 01: ( 19 Aug 26 ) HYDERABAD – COLOMBO – SIGIRIYA

Arrival in Colombo. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed to Sri Lanka and proceed to Sigiriya. En route, visit Munneshwaram Temple, one of the three celebrated Eshwarams of Lord Shiva. Proceed to Manaveri and visit the Manaweri Shrine. Arrive in Sigiriya in the late evening.

The city is built on a peninsula which divides the inner and outer harbors. In the close vicinity of Trincomalee are some of the finest beaches of Sri Lanka. Visit Tirukoneshwaram Shrine; the construction time of Koneswaram temple has been estimated by comparison between carved reliefs on the temple’s ruins, literature on the shrine, and royal inscriptions, likely dating back before 400 BCE. Another significant feature of the shrine is the Shakthi Peedam (Shankari Amman Statue). After visiting Trincomalee, proceed to Dambulla.

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay: Trincomalee hotel.

Day 03: ( 21 Aug 26 ) TRINCOMALEE

Day starts with a spiritual Full Day Pooja for the Mahayagnam. Spend the day immersed in religious rituals.

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay: Trincomalee hotel.

Day 04: ( 22 Aug 26 ) TRINCOMALEE – JAFFNA

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Jaffna. Enjoy en-route sightseeing, including a Golden Buddha Tour (Note: The text’s reference to the ‘Golden Temple’ settlement in Bylakuppe, India is an illustrative historical parallel to Tibetan-style structures; local Buddhist monuments will be highlighted here). Later, proceed to visit Nagadeepa. The site is famed as the place where Lord Buddha arrived during his second visit to Sri Lanka, five years after attaining Enlightenment, to mediate a dispute between two Naga Kings, Chulodara and Mahodara, over a gem-studded throne.

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay: Jaffna hotel.

Day 05: ( 23 Aug 26 ) JAFFNA – MATALE – KANDY

After breakfast, proceed to Kandy. En route at Matale, visit a Herbal Garden to witness different varieties of medicinal plants and enjoy a live cookery demonstration. Proceed to Kandy for a city tour of the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Drive around the picturesque Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, in 1806. Visit the Kandy town, local bazaar, arts and crafts center, and a gem museum/lapidary. You can optionally visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), located in the royal palace complex, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. Also visit the ancient Lord Vinayagar Temple in Kandy. The evening is the perfect time to witness an optional traditional cultural dance show.

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay: Kandy hotel.

Day 06: ( 24 Aug 26 ) KANDY via RAMBODA – NUWARA ELIYA

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route at Ramboda, visit the Hanuman Shrine, dedicated to Lord Hanuman and believed to be the spot where he first landed in Sri Lanka in search of Seetha. Observe the majestic 18-foot Hanuman statue. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and embark on a city tour, including a local tea factory. Situated at an altitude of 1,868 meters (6,128 feet) and overlooked by Pidurutalagala (Sri Lanka’s tallest peak), this town is the heart of tea production. Founded in 1846 by Samuel Baker, its cool climate made it a prime sanctuary for British civil servants, earning it the nickname “Little England.” Stop by the manicured Victoria Park, stroll past the international Golf and Race Courses, or head to Gregory’s Lake just south of town (boat tours optional). Finally, proceed to Seetha Eliya to witness the legendary Seetha Amman Temple at the historic Asoke Vathika, and visit the Gayathri Amman Temple.

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay: Nuwara Eliya hotel.

Day 07: ( 25 Aug 26 ) NUWARA ELIYA – COLOMBO

After breakfast, proceed to Colombo via Kelaniya to visit the famous Vibhishana Temple. Vibhishana, the noble-hearted younger brother of King Ravana from the epic Ramayana, was crowned King of Lanka and is still deeply revered as a deity here.

  • Dinner & Overnight Stay: Colombo hotel.

Day 08: ( 26 Aug 26 ) COLOMBO – AIRPORT

Early morning start with a packed breakfast from the hotel. Transfer directly to the Colombo Airport for your return departure flight back to Hyderabad.
